Vision

To be a learning community that provides excellence in education for the whole person- a place where all can flourish. We believe that, 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.' Philippians 4:13

In this belief, we strive to follow our '4 Rs' of:

  • Ready
  • Respectful
  • Responsible
  • Resilient

It is through following these principles that we can demonstrate our values.

Ethos

Christ Church Academy exists to serve the community in which it exists. As a Church of England middle school each member of the Academy community is valued, respected and treated equally regardless of gender, race, belief and ability.

We seek to enable children to achieve their potential and to flourish through perseverance, hard work, challenge and fun. We do this by devising an exciting and vibrant curriculum, which engages and enthuses our young people and this in turn is supported by our shared Christian values.

Equality

Christ Church Academy actively promotes the value of each person, made in the image of God. The school teaches that discrimination in every form is unacceptable and this is achieved through the PSHE curriculum, worship and assembly time, the wider curriculum and by constantly reinforcing the Academy’s Christian values. All staff support this emphasis on valuing and respecting each other and model this to the children in their classrooms and around the Academy.

Lichfield Diocese Vision

The vision, mission and ministry of the Diocese is focused around the three priority areas of discipleship, vocation and evangelism (DVE) - following in the footsteps of the first bishop of Lichfield, St Chad.

The shared Diocesan vision is:

"As we follow Christ in the footsteps of St Chad, we pray that the two million people in our diocese encounter a church that is confident in the gospel, knows and loves its communities, and is excited to find God already at work in the world. We pray for a church that reflects the richness and variety of those communities. We pray for a church that partners with others in seeking the common good, working for justice as a people of hope."

Here at Christ Church, we continue to keep the important work of the Diocese in our prayers and we too are in theirs: we are part of LDBE's prayer calendar. For more information on this, please click here
