Summer Skills Challenge
We are very excited to announce something new and rather special which all pupils are invited to take part in. We have created the Summer Skills Challenge: a program of 40 different activities that children can work on over the break that are designed to develop key skills while having lots of fun along the way. For each challenge completed, pupils are awarded a special certificate, and those who complete 10 or more will receive a pin badge which can be worn in school. There will also be a special award and prize presented to the pupil who most impresses us with their effort and creativity.
You can download the handbook which contains details of every challenge and what you need to do to complete it (Click here to download the handbook). There is also a record sheet to download which you can print and fill in (Click here to download the record sheet). When pupils return to school in September, they can bring in either the record sheet or the handbook which is to be signed by an adult to confirm that the criteria for the challenge has been met.
With challenges ranging from Camping to Gaming, Theatre to Restaurant and Photography to Geocaching, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! We look forward to seeing what you get up to!
Pupils who are coming into school before the holidays can pick up a paper copy of the record sheet. If you would like a printed copy but your son/daughter is not coming in to school, please contact the school office on firstname.lastname@example.org before Thursday 16th of July.
