Alternative Activities Plan - (Feb-Mar 2021)
Dear Parents/Carers
It may be timely with the government announcement that we will not be returning at February half term, that we have decided to calendar something slightly different each week in order to support the pupils welfare as well as their academic studies.
We are so grateful for all that you are doing to facilitate their learning on Teams and realise that it can be challenging at times.
We have scheduled well-being days, catch-up days and screen-free days over the next half term. We will also complement this by sending out activities to support themed days/weeks which will be entirely optional but something extra if you or your child fancies it.
More details will come about each day as it approaches but please see the calendar attached for an outline of when the days are – I’ve tried to avoid Monday and Fridays so that it doesn’t become a ‘long-weekend’ but also to rotate the days over the weeks so we never hit the same timetabled day more than once.
Obviously we will review this should we receive any updates from the government about full re-opening of schools.
Kind regards
Mrs T Thorn
Vice Principal
