Year 6 - PSHE lessons

Dear Parent/Carer
As part of their PSHE lessons, Y6 pupils will soon be having ‘growing up’ talks. This topic will begin during the week beginning 6th June for 6TL and 13th June for all other year 6 forms. The lessons will build on the knowledge taught in year 5 and will complement the work already covered by the science department.
In year 6, lessons will predominantly focus on puberty, body image and personal hygiene. These sessions will be taught during their normal PSHE lessons, but they will also have an additional talk in single gender groups before the end of term. Being prepared and knowing the changes that will be happening to them and their peers, will help your child to adapt well to adolescence.
