Year 5 Birches Valley Trip
To further develop the relationships between pupils and their form tutors, I have organised a team building day to take place at Birches Valley Education Centre in Rugeley. Pupils will participate in a variety of activities at the centre with the aim of developing a team ethos in each individual form.
A suggested donation of £11.00 is requested to cover the cost of the trip, which includes transport to the centre and the activities which are led by a trained instructor. The trip can only take place if sufficient funds are received.
We will be leaving Christ Church Academy at approximately 9:15am and will return by 3.30pm, meaning that alternative travel arrangements need not be made. The children will participate in this activity on the following days:
Monday 17th October – 5A, 5B and 5D Tuesday 18th October – 5C and 5E.
As winter will almost be upon us by the time we go, I do ask that children ensure that they are
dressed appropriately for this activity; the children do not need to come in uniform and should wear warm, old clothes and appropriate footwear. Further to this, children should bring a packed lunch in a plastic bag so that they can throw any rubbish away. If your child is eligible for a free school meal, one will be provided by the dining centre staff.
Payment by cash, cheque or bank transfer should be made by Thursday 6th October. If you wish to pay by bank transfer, please indicate this on the slip below. All permission slips and payment should be returned to the Finance Office in an envelope bearing the name and class of the pupil. If you would like to discuss the trip further, please do not hesitate to contact the Academy.
