Y6 Quarry Bank Mill Trip
Dear Parent/Carer
Year 6 History Visit - Quarry Bank Mill
As part of the History National Curriculum at Key Stage 2, Year 6 pupils are studying Victorian Britain in a local context. To complement this work, we have arranged a visit to Quarry Bank Mill on:-
Thursday 9th March for 6A, 6B & 6C and on Friday 10th March for 6D & 6E.
We will leave school at 9.00am and return at approximately 3.30pm. We ask for a voluntary contribution of £14.00 towards the cost of entrance fees, transport, guides and insurance. The visits cannot take place unless we receive sufficient funds. Pupils will require a packed lunch and if your child is on free school meals a meal will be provided by the school. There is a gift shop selling souvenirs, so pupils may bring a small amount of money if they wish. (We suggest no more than £5.00).
Please return the attached permission slip along with your contribution of £14.00 towards the total cost as soon as possible, and no later than Friday 3rd February. If you wish to pay by cheque, please make cheques payable to Christ Church Academy, and put your child’s name and registration group on the reverse.
Yours sincerely
Mr Healey
Head of Humanities
