Following your child’s transfer to Christ Church, I would like to provide an update on the setting arrangements for English and mathematics.
All pupils have completed assessments in both English and mathematics. In maths, they have been placed into sets on a provisional basis, with a review scheduled for half term to give opportunity for alterations if necessary.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your support during your child’s transfer to Christ Church. The transition to middle school can be a worrying time for both pupils and parents, but the Year 5 children have made an encouraging start to this new phase of their education.
In order to address any queries that you may have, we are holding a drop-in evening for Year 5 parents on Wednesday 28th September between 4pm and 6pm. Appointments are not necessary, and your child’s form tutor will be available to discuss any questions that you may have. If you cannot attend on the 28th but would like to speak to your child’s form tutor, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
Mr M Hodson
Head of Year 5
