Ski trip to Madesimo, Italy, 4th – 10th April 2020
We are looking forward to next winter and the organisation of a ski trip for pupils in current Years 5, 6 and 7 to the Italian resort of Madesimo. We will be departing from the UK on 4th April 2020 travelling by air to Milan. We will then return to the UK on 10th April 2020.
Only a few minutes from the Swiss border, Madesimo is located to enjoy long seasons from November into spring, with snow-sure conditions. The ski area of Madesimo is perfect for beginners and improvers, with over 85% of the runs being dedicated to these groups.
With uncrowded slopes and a lack of lift queues, skiers in Madesimo can enjoy a variety of terrain, from skiing through tree lined runs, a range of high altitude runs and the ability to ski all the way back into the village. More advanced skiers in the group will be able to ski all the way to and from the doorstep of the 4 Star Boscone Suite Hotel, where we will be staying.
The centrally located hotel will allow the children to enjoy all of the different elements that the village has to offer. With its cobbled streets lined with shops and restaurants, we will able to enjoy local cuisine on our doorstep, along with various apres ski activities which are organised and can be seen below.
The trip is being organised by the specialist group tour operator, Rayburn Tours, a company that has been operating trips for schools since 1965. Rayburn Tours is ABTA bonded and ATOL protected, as well as being accredited by Learning Outside the Classroom and the School Travel Forum.

Please complete and return to the School Finance Office asap and before Monday 20th May.
I would like my child ………………………………… Tutor group: ………. to participate in the school ski trip to Madesimo.
I understand that in the event of the trip being oversubscribed, my child may not gain a place on this trip and also understand the criteria for selection.
Please note that the school reserves the right to remove a student from the trip if their behaviour in school gives cause for concern. It is expected that students that are removed will lose any money that has already been paid to the tour operator unless a replacement can be found.
I also accept that there could be an increase in the cost of the trip if the numbers are lower than envisaged and I understand that this sum will be added onto the final payment.
I will be attending the presentation evening on Monday 13th May at 5.30 pm □
