Key Stage 2 SATS - w/c 9th May 2022
29 Apr 2022
Dear parent/carer,
The arrangements for the Key Stage 2 SATs are now finalised and I am able to share them with you.
Pupils have worked incredibly hard this academic year and we have been delighted at how they have responded since returning to school after the disruption to their time during the pandemic. We understand that some pupils may feel worried and anxious about the upcoming assessments, while others are confident and seem to take it all in their stride. Regardless of their outlook, we want to reassure them, and you, that doing their best and showing what they have learned is all that we ask of them during the week.
Over the next week, we would encourage all pupils to listen carefully to their teachers' advice about revision and preparation and to speak with them if they have any questions. An early night and good breakfast routine are also very much recommended so that they arrive to school ready and refreshed each morning.
The timetable for the assessments is shown below:

English SPAG 1 (Grammar & Punctuation) 10:00- 10:45 |

For most pupils, the assessments will take place in their ordinary English and Maths classrooms, with a small number of children using alternative rooms. (Those pupils who are eligible for additional time or access arrangements have already been contacted by the school).
SATs week is always a busy and challenging time and we are very conscious of the effort that pupils put in to making the very best of the opportunity. We are already so proud of our Year 6 pupils and wish them every success during the week.
We have planned some enjoyable activities for Friday 13th May as a fitting end to the week!
Kind regards
Mrs Nicholson-Ward
Assistant Principal
