A Welcome Message from The Principal.jpg)
I hope this message finds you well and in good spirits despite these uncertain times.
It is shame that we are not able to run our usual Open Day or school visits – we always love the opportunity to share our school with prospective parents, carers and pupils! Should the guidance change, we will look to introduce tours to the Academy - please see the link at the bottom of my message for more information.
With this in mind, we have produced a short video which I think embodies much about what makes Christ Church Academy special - the ambition for all children to achieve their best, to discover their strengths and to develop those areas they struggle with, to forge new friendships that last a lifetime and to revel in the wonder of learning new things and enjoying new experiences!
In 2017, we were pleased to have been graded 'Good' by Ofsted - the report can be found here. We were thrilled in January 2020 to be awarded the highest grade of ‘excellent’ at our SIAMS inspection. The report states: ‘each person is encouraged to aspire to be the best version of themselves’ and ‘at Christ Church aspirations become reality. An inclusive ethos means pupils make good academic progress, but their individual, personal development is nurtured as a priority.’ A full copy of the report can be accessed here.
Our academic success speaks for itself, but we are equally committed to developing the whole person so they are well prepared for life beyond Christ Church when they leave us at the end of Year 8.
We take pride in looking after the most vulnerable in our school community and it is great to see children come through the challenges they face with a positive outlook.
I hope you enjoy the insight to the Academy the video below provides.
As we are unable to meet you in person at the present time, if you have any specific questions or would like to express an interest in booking a tour when they are reinstated, please use this link.
Kind regards
Mr C M Wright, Principal
